Will we have a Merry Chirstmas? 2023 version.

Bluey seeming blue that we have no Christmas tree.

I guess it is appropriate that I restart this blog with this entry, as I had mentioned previous Christmas celebrations here.

Truth to tell... we still haven't put up our tree - just looking at our living area thats filled with a lot of stuff makes me wonder how we'll move things around as I prep the tree and set things up. It seems Herculean a task... and I'm not up to Hercules level of inspiration (yet).

We'll see... to get to that level I've been playing Christmas carols in YouTube almost every hour, everyday. Trying to get into the spirit of things. Why the seeming lethargic feeling? I don't know. Maybe its also because I'm not feeling 100% well - got aches on my right side that's been bothering me for days; making sleep a but difficult.

Family's okay, to say the least. Our kids' careers are great. Our businesses har a mixed bag though... something that we'll address soon. And we're getting opportunities to sell in other areas - promising ones at that. I'll introduce them in a separate entry.

So why can't I find the spirit? Dunno... but I hope to do so, real soon.

Update: Novemebr 30, 11pm - still no tree. Am wondering if it'll be worth the effort to still set it up. Is the Christmas spirit, after all, lessened for lack of a tree? Or am I just making excuses? :D

Welcome to Minutiae Musings!

This blog strives to preserve memories, capture thoughts, and reflect ideas. It may hopefully contain tomes and treasures within its entries for anyone reading them - after all, what use is memory and knowledge if it is not to be shared?.

This is also a visual documentation of what I have experienced, either alone - or with my family and/or friends. Its an excuse to take pictures - and enjoy a hobby (or two) that I am getting into with more seriousness, dedication and passion... namely taking pictures (or borrowing them from elsewhere) and accompanying these with a write-up.

This gives me a chance to practice writing, editing, conceptualizing and all other necessary things I may have to do in creating a 'believable enough' visual magazine of what I want to share with everyone else.

Bottom line though is that it is about living... making the best of what we have. I sincerely find a lot of things worth keeping track of - when thinking of the minutiae... now I hope to share these immediate experiences with anyone who would like to read about them.

By the way, this site has a mirror address: minutiaemusings@wordpress.com - one that was menat to be a back up... but for some reason, has started to get its own identity. For the most part, the articles here will be found there as well - but there may be some articles there that are not found here (so much for backing-up right?).

There you're supposed to find a (hopefully) more polished version of this site - where I intend to showcase things I've learned from this site... while I keep this as is, to preserve my 'blog learning' journey.

Lastly, I'd like to read your comments - if you're willing to post, I'm willing to read. Hence my newly installed Cbox. If you've got suggestions for imporvements; thoughts you'd love to share or just messages with a 'hello' or a 'hi'... then do type a line or more. If you don't fancy the Cbox - there's still the usual comments area after each article too.

I believe - That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe - That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I believe - That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe - That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe - That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe - That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I believe - That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I believe - That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe - That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe - That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe - That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're ‘down’, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe - That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe - That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe - That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe - That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe - That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe - Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I believe - That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe - That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you – you will find the strength to help.

I believe - That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe - That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

Take every birthday with a grain of salt. This works much better if the salt accompanies a Margarita
